Thats right, every Chevrolet Cruze is being recalled. The reason for such a huge recall is due to a fire risk in the engine bay. The Detroit Free Press broke this story earlier, and you can read the article here.
In a quote from GM:
“Improper engine oil change procedures on these vehicles can result in the spilling or dripping of oil. If oil contacts hot engine or exhaust system surfaces, and the engine shield, the shield may ignite and burn, resulting in a possible engine compartment fire.”
This problem is affecting, again, every Chevrolet Cruze ever produced and sold. That is a total of 413,418 units.

I think that the engine shield, a large plastic piece that is installed under the front of the car to protect the engine, could trap oil that is accidentally spilled or dripped during oil changes……Is this true…
