Chris 911 Turbo SMy motoring enthusiasm started early. My father used to take me to the beach in his 1985 Nissan 300Z. With the t-tops off, the winding coastal roads forever etched themselves into my mind. I learned to drive in a Ford Expedition Eddie Bauer Edition and took my driver’s exam in a Chrysler PT Cruiser GT, so it’s safe to say I can and will drive just about anything.My first car was a 2003 BMW 325xi. It taught me the joys of a manual transmission and the benefits of a well-tuned chassis, igniting my purist attitude in transmission choice and driving experience.Past vehicles include a 2013 BMW 335i xDrive and 2016 Porsche Cayman R, both manual-equipped. I currently split time between a 2014 Toyota FJ Crusier and 2012 Aston Martin V12 Vantage. And yes, the V12 Vantage has a 6-speed. I guess that’s just the kind of car guy I am.

In all honesty the first memory I have is one of sitting in my father’s 1968 Corvette. It was pale yellow with black interior, a black removable vinyl roof, and a 4 speed manual. To this day he regrets selling that car, and to this day I still miss sitting in that passenger seat. Over the years however I have become more than just a Corvette lover, though they will always hold a special place in my heart.Currently driving a couple cars that interest me. I have a Volvo XC40 and a Porsche 911. Sort of an odd combination, but I think that speaks to my tastes. I’ve had BMW’s for years, and it was time for a change…you’ve seen one of them here on this site. No Corvettes currently on my radar, but that could always change in an instant. I’m the resident car purchaser, and things don’t seem to stay around all that long.All-in-all, I like to stick to the tag line “I love to drive, I hate being driven” and hopefully through our opinions, writing, and whatever else we come up with, you will be able to hold on through the corners.

Danielle Assenheimer BioI have had an interest in cars from quite an early age. I would be riding along with my parents and be able to rattle off the year, make, and model of practically every car we passed by on the road. To some people it was a borderline obsession, but cars fascinated me, and still do. One of my loves as an adolescent was the Mitsubishi Eclipse—specifically the GSX trim level and 1995 to 1999 model years. I always wanted one; if only I had the chance to drive one to get that bug out of my system. Granted, it was not that exciting of a car. The Eclipse GSX was AWD with a 210 hp turbocharged 2.0 L engine. But it was still one of those cars most teenagers wanted at that time.Over the years, my tastes have changed in regards to what I like as well as what I drive. For the past 6 years I have been a SUV girl (2005 Buick Rainier CXL) but have recently become the proud owner of a Mineral Gray 2013 BMW 328xi. It was quite an adjustment—going from a SUV to a mid-size car, but completely worth it. It does not matter if it is a quick trip to the mall or heading to work, the drive is always fun. Turning up BPM on the radio, putting the windows down, and feeling my hair fly up into the open sunroof is enough to put a huge smile on my face.A car should not be known as just means of transportation. I believe they all have unique personalities and are a great way to express a person’s style. I plan on evaluating a car’s fundamental elements and features, but with a uniquely female perspective.

Instead of reading comic books or watching a steady diet of nothing but cartoons, I read car magazines and watched PowerBlock & Car & Driver TV. From an early age, cars have fascinated me, causing me to study all of the various details, trims, and features throughout the years.My interests have undoubtedly been influenced by family. My father owns a 1975 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am with some modifications. He would take to me car shows in it as a child, and I can’t forget the massive, 400 cubic inch V8 chopping away at idle and rumbling out its uniquely American tune.I have had the unique perspective of working in the automotive industry at a dealership, and have in my lifetime driven thousands of cars. I have developed a sense of what has been changing in vehicles throughout the years, what works and what does not. If a car is outstanding, it is my duty to let you, the reader, know. However, if a car is missing the mark, whether it be in a small or a large way, it is my duty to reliably inform. I look forward to evaluating vehicles and sharing my unique perspective, free of bias & BS.

  2. You guys have an awesome blog here! How do you guys get most of your cars? I have started a car review blog and been renting cars to get myself started. Is their a cheaper way to go about this?
